Ms. Elaine Zhu’s expertise mainly covers hotel development & management, real estate M&A, FDI, general corporate matters, etc.
Ms. Zhu provides long-term legal services for hotel/tourism development and management areas. She has represented a number of large domestic real estate enterprises (owners) in the contract review and negotiation of hotel management projects with international hotel management groups. Her main clients include Hung Lung Properties, Sun Huang Kai Properties, K.WAH Group, CITIC Urban Development and Junfa Group. The hotel brands she has worked on include Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, St. Regis, Grand Hyatt, Conrad, Indigo, Patina, Banyan Tree and Six Senses. Ms. Zhu is also the external legal counsel of hotel management groups, such as Club Med, Radisson, Huazhu and Jinjiang, advising on the contract review and negotiation of hotel development projects in China, contract templates, legal due diligence of hotel projects, daily operation matters, disputes resolution, etc..
Ms. Zhu also provides legal services to international clients in fast fashion, luxury, food & beverage and other sectors for foreign direct investment and general corporate matters. She advices mainly on entity establishment, M&A, commercial contracts, employment matters, IP protection, anti-monopoly, etc.. Her clients include Cath Kidston, B&O, Chanel, Accessorize, Victoria’s Secret, Imperial Treasure and Chipotle.
