Charles CHEN
Charles has been focusing on banking and finance area for over 20 years.
In the area of banking and finance, Charles regularly represents foreign and domestic financial institutions in various legal matters such as bilateral and syndicated lending, project finance, trade finance, financial leasing, NPL disposal, template documents drafting and reviewing, compliance advisory.
In the area of corporate and commerce, Charles provides services to foreign and domestic corporate and institutional clients in relation to the finance-related matters in their setting up presence and M&A in and outside China as well as daily operation, in particular foreign exchange control, design and implementation of capital structure and financing arrangements, M&A financing, debt restructuring, exit, etc.
In the area of financial institutions and quasi-financial institutions, Charles is also experienced in commercial factoring, market entrance and compliance of foreign banks, card schemes, payment institutions, currency exchanges, Internet-based financial services.
