Rong XIANG

Ms. Xiang's practice mainly covers litigation, arbitration, bankruptcy and resturcturing. For both the institutional and high-net individual clients, Ms. Xiang has successfully handled a number of significant and complex commercial cases at different levels of courts and major arbitration institutions in China. The most recent bankruptcy case she participated in was selected as the “2023 Representative Case” by Shanghai Bankruptcy Court. Ms. Xiang believes that Everything Grows in Love.

  • Represented a Taiwan-funded enterprise in a series of disputes involving Sino-foreign contractual Joint venture issues

  • Represented a Hong Kong-funded company against a Brunei-incorporated company in the dipuste over their equity transfer agreement

  • Represented a well-known asset management company against its investor in the dispute over their equity repurchase agreement

  • Represented a well-known Japanese company over the sales agreement dispute with a printing company

  • Represented a Chinese investor against a Chinese public company in the disputes arising from cooperation and equity transfer agreements

  • Represented a globally leading investment bank in the dispute over the validity of the arbitration agreement and providing legal service for the enforcement of a HKIAC arbitral award

  • Represented a well-known German-headquarted medical company to defend its qualification to paticipte in a court enforcement proceeding in China

  • Represented a well-known Shanghai real estate developer in the dispute with a state-owned company arising from their real property sales agreement

  • Represented a well-known Shanghai investment management company and its affiliate in the dispute relating to construction and leasing agreements

  • Represented an Italy-headquartered food company in the dispute over a sale and purchase contract between the company and a trading company

  • Court-appointed administrator team member in the bankruptcy liquidation proceeding of Shanghai Changqiao Logistics Co., Ltd
