Grace has over 10-years working experience in the practice of IP and has been working for clients from various industries including FMCG, TMT and High-Tech.
In the commercial IP area, Grace has handled various transactions such as brand license, franchise, technology development and/or license. Grace is particularly experienced in handling the IP aspects derived from M&A and PE/VC transactions, capable of understanding business essentials, evaluating IP-related risks and seeking solutions that best serve the needs of clients.
In the IP litigation area, Grace has prevailed for several famous brands in trademark infringement and imitation lawsuits.

Representative Matters

  • Obtained for Reckitt Benckiser judicial recognition of well-known trademarks for “Dettol", listed among the “Annual 10 Typical IP Cases of Shanghai";

  • Obtained for L’OCCITANE nearly CNY 10 million as damages in a trademark infringement and trade dress imitation suit;

  • Prevailed for Webzen in a dispute of video game license agreement;

  • Advised a leading private equity firm on the master franchise arrangement with a U.S. restaurant brand;

  • Advised Telink Semiconductor on several IP collaborations of semiconductor chip design, manufacturing and supply chain management;

  • Represented China New City (0132.HK) in the IP licensing and joint venture project with Maggie & Rose, a famous British family club;

  • Represented a client in reaching a deal with a world-famous e-sport brand to exclusively develop and operate the brand’s derivative market;

  • Advised a famous U.S. massager brand on full-range trademark service in China, including trademark layout, IP compliance and enforcement;

  • Advised a famous U.S. fast food franchise brand on its daily operation including IP compliance and IP-related collaborations.
