Ning LI

Mr. Li specializes in commercial litigation and arbitration, especially cases involving private equity investment, fund, trust, and asset management. Having been practicing for more than a decade, Mr. Li has a keen eye to discern the needs of both parties involved in a dispute and excels at employing a wide range of non-litigation approaches, such as negotiation, to resolve disputes efficiently and cost-effectively.

Mr. Li has extensive experience in representing clients before courts and arbitration institutions, such as the Supreme People’s Court, the provincial-level high courts, China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, and Beijing Arbitration Commission.

  • Represented Minmetals International Trust Co., Ltd. in a litigation concerning commercial trust disputes against Guangxi Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd. before the Supreme People's Court, with the case involving a total disputed amount of CNY 1.7 billion and the court confirming the legality of the financing scheme where a trust company provided financing to a party in consideration of beneficial interests in receiving proceeds from certain trust assets and subsequently had the beneficial interests repurchased by the financing party at a premium

  • Represented a real estate company in a litigation concerning a trust loan dispute against a trust company before the Supreme People's Court, involving a disputed amount of CNY 800 million

  • Represented Minmetals International Trust Co., Ltd. in a litigation concerning commercial trust disputes against Wuhan Jinzhengmao Business Co., Ltd. before the Supreme People's Court, involving a disputed amount of CNY 1.4 billion

  • Represented an investor in a litigation concerning a trust loan dispute against a trust company and a bank before the Supreme People's Court, involving a disputed amount of CNY 100 million
