Jason LIU

Jason Liu is a senior partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm.

Jason has extensive experience in securities issuance, private equity & investment funds, and cross-border M&A. He was consecutively recognized as “Asia’s Leading Lawyers for Business” in private equity practice by Chambers from 2014 to 2024 as well as “Leading lawyer in Private Equity Funds” by IFLR from 2016 to 2021. He was ranked as “Highly Regarded Leading lawyer in Investment Funds” by IFLR from 2022 to 2023.

Jason advised on multiple initial public offerings. He advised on the establishment of over 100 private equity funds (including offshore USD funds, RMB funds, and Sino-foreign joint venture funds). In addition, he advised investment funds, including GSR, Temasek, Trustbridge Partners, Sequoia, IDG, SAIF Asia, DCM, KTB, and JAFCO Asia, on hundreds of private investment and financing projects and M&A transactions. Jason obtained Ph.D. of law from Law School of University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. He also studied at California State University at Los Angeles.
