Huaining SUN

Huaining Sun is a partner specializing in environmental protection, production safety (the “ES”) and energy sources. Mr. Sun has been providing legal services to governmental authorities and major enterprises. He is familiar not only with laws and regulations in ES, but also with regulatory systems and company management systems. Mr. Sun’s regular clients include Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangsu Province, Zhenjiang Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, CR Power Jiangsu Branch, Jiangsu Huadian Energy Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Electric Power Development Co., Ltd., Tianshun Wind Power (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and so on. Mr. Sun is acting as longtime legal counsel in environmental protection for China Petrochemical Corporation. In litigation, Mr. Sun represented Environment Federation of Jiangsu Province with Jiangsu Provincial Government against Dystar Colours (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. which was selected as one of the Top Ten Civil & Administrative Cases of 2017 by the Supreme Court of China. In non-litigation projects, He advised the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangsu Province on the compensation negotiation project for ecological and environmental damages involved in “321 Xiangshui Explosion Accident”.

  • Advised China Oil & Gas Pipeline Network Corporation(PipeChina) on legal compliance projects in environmental protection, work safety and professional health

  • Represented Environment Federation of Jiangsu Province with Jiangsu Provincial Government against Dystar Colours (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. which was selected as one of the Top Ten Civil & Administrative Cases of 2017 by the Supreme Court of China

  • Represented several subsidiaries of a large petrochemical group in environmental public interest litigations

  • Represented a large mining company in its environmental public interest litigation case

  • Advised a large pharmaceutical company in civil, administrative and criminal laws on its illegal landfill case involving hazardous waste

  • Advised many large domestic petrochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical, iron and steel, and machinery industry enterprises on response to major production safety and environmental protection emergencies

  • Advising the department of ecology and environment on reviewing the legality of hundreds of administrative penalty cases every year

  • Representing the department of ecology and environment in hundreds of administrative reconsideration cases and administrative litigations every year

  • Provided whole-process legal services for China Huadian Group Co., LTD and China National Petroleum Company Limited in respect of Huadian Jiangsu Energy Co., LTD. 's 2019 major asset restructuring project

  • Providing longtime legal services for the short-term and ultra-short-term financing bond projects of a large power generation company whose annual issuance of bonds exceeded 10 billion yuan

  • Provided equity design, business structure, legal compliance, contract template and other legal services for the establishment of new energy development business group of a listed energy company

  • Provided whole-process legal services for the third industry cleaning project of a subsidiary company of a large power generation group

  • Providing full legal services for more than 10 new energy investment and merger projects such as photovoltaic and wind power every year
