Zhancheng XU

Mr. Zhancheng Xu has focused on the corporate debt restructuring, bankruptcy reorganization and liquidation, risk disposal of financial institutions, and other practice areas since he joined Zhong Lun in 2011. Beyond his advisory work, he contributed to the drafting of regulatory documents, notably the "Working Procedures for the Futian District Enterprise Restructuring Service Center (Trial Implementation)". He has handled restructuring, bankruptcy reorganization and liquidation cases, execution to bankruptcy, litigation, arbitration, and other mandates for large companies, whether listed or non-listed, including securities companies, involving a total value of liabilities and assets exceeding CNY 52 billion. Mr. Xu has a wealth of experience in handling complex, high-profile restructurings, bankruptcies, and litigation and arbitration cases. He recently managed the reorganization cases of Evergrande New Energy Auto (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., involving liabilities of approximately CNY 13 billion and attracting investments standing at about CNY 2.6 billion. The case was featured as a model example by the Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court Enterprise Reorganization Center and selected into China Business Law Journal's "2025 Outstanding Transactions" list. The bankruptcy reorganization cases of "Xunbao series ", which Mr. Xu has been handling in recent years, was selected as the "Guiding Case of Guangdong Higher People's Court on Adjudicating Bankruptcy Cases According to Law to Promote Supply-side Structural Reform". The bankruptcy case of Fuguiniao (01819.HK) undertaken recently involves such aspects as Hong Kong H-share listed enterprises and bond substantive default, which has sparked broad societal resonance.
