Zhancheng XU
Mr. Zhancheng Xu has been with Zhong Lun since 2011 and focuses on corporate debt restructuring, bankruptcy reorganization and liquidation, financial institution risk resolution, among other matters. He has also participated in the drafting of key regulatory documents, including the Working Procedures for the Futian District Enterprise Restructuring Service Center (Trial Implementation). Mr. Xu has advised securities companies, listed companies, and private enterprises on a broad range of high-profile and complex matters, including restructurings, bankruptcy reorganizations and liquidations, enforcement-to-bankruptcy proceedings, litigation, and arbitration. The aggregate liabilities and assets involved in these matters amount to nearly CNY 100 billion. He has extensive experience in handling major, difficult, and complex restructuring, bankruptcy, litigation, and arbitration matters.
Mr. Xu recently led the coordinated restructuring case of Evergrande Auto’s Nansha manufacturing base, involving Evergrande New Energy Auto (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. and Evergrande Intelligent Automobile (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. The matter was selected as a “National Classic Bankruptcy Case of 2025” by a panel of 53 experts and scholars across China. It has also been recognized by China Business Law Journal as one of its “Deals of the Year 2025” and has been promoted by the Enterprise Reorganization Center of the Guangzhou Intermediate People’s Court as a representative case. In recent years, Mr. Xu has also advised on the bankruptcy reorganization of Xunbao group of companies, which was selected as a "Guiding Case of Guangdong High People's Court for Promoting Supply-side Structural Reform through Law-Based Adjudication". He also acted in the bankruptcy case of Fuguiniao (01819.HK), a Hong Kong H-share listed company. The case involved issues including bond substantive default, attracting significant market and public attention.
