Since joining Zhong Lun Law Firm in 2019, Mr Yan has always adhered to the working principles of professionalization, refinement and hands-on experience, delving deeply into the field of commercial criminal law, and has successively handled a number of major, difficult and complex cases assigned by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, supervised by the Ministry of Public Security, supervised by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, supervised by the National Office for the Campaign Against Organized Crime and local Public security departments The types of cases include duty-related crimes, securities crimes, commercial corruption and bribery crimes, smuggling crimes, tax-related crimes, crimes related to organized crime and evil forces, property infringement crimes, etc. The types of clients include listed companies, central and state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and other units, as well as enterprise managers, department leaders, public officials and other natural persons Most of cases have achieved good results such as bail pending trial, no approval for arrest, no prosecution, probation, actual reimbursement, and reduced punishment. During the case handling process, Mr Yan's professional and responsible attitude, neither humble nor overbearing negotiation, and the empathy of integrating legal principles have been widely recognized by clients and the case-handling authorities.

In addition, Mr Yan is able to adhere to the principle of giving equal weight to practice and theory, pay attention to cutting-edge academic topics, and actively express his opinions on new problems and thoughts discovered during his practice by putting them into writing. The articles he wrote won the "second Prize" in the first National Forum on the Prosecution of Duty-related Crimes. Some of his articles have been successively published in "Special Research on the Prosecution of Duty-related Crimes and Case Handling Guidelines", "Sentencing Research", "Proceedings of the 2024 National Annual Conference of the Chinese Society of Criminal Law", "Proceedings of the Amendment of the Criminal Procedure Law and New Developments in Criminal Defense (Volume II)", etc. What is even more valuable is that The legislative amendment proposal he put forward in 2024 regarding compulsory measures in criminal proceedings was adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and he was awarded an honorary certificate.
