Recently, IFLR announced IFLR Asia Best Lawyers 2022. Zhong Lun partners Anthony Zhao, Catherine Chen, and Limin Chen once again entered the list.

Anthony Zhao

Qualified to practice in China and New York State, Anthony Zhao focuses on private equity and venture fund investment, capital markets, and M&A, among others. With a talent for providing legal services integrating both domestic and foreign perspectives, his practice spans China’s major industries, especially the new economy, high-tech, and innovative industries. Catherine Chen

Catherine Chen has accumulated years of experience in establishment of private equity funds, private equity investment and financing, and domestic and overseas capital markets. In establishment of private equity funds, Catherine Chen is not only a pioneer but also a leader. She has represented clients in setting up thousands of private equity funds, assisting in structuring the funds and their management companies, designing schemes of employee equity incentive, employee investment, and performance incentive, and providing full-suite legal services on operation compliance, share transfer, exit, and liquidation during the existence of the funds. With respect to private equity investment and financing, Catherine Chen, in addition to counseling well-known private funds on their investment in target companies, has provided legal services related to equity structure design, equity incentive, private equity financing, and capital operation for many start-ups and companies at growth stage. Catherine Chen is adept at structuring complex private equity investment and transaction arrangements.

Limin Chen

Limin Chen has rich experience in capital markets and mainly focuses on capital markets/securities, asset securitization, financial products, and M&A. As one of the first professional lawyers to obtain a securities qualification in China, he has honed his expertise in the areas of Chinese corporate transformation, restructuring, and domestic and overseas stock issuance, and listing and handled listing of A shares, B shares, H shares, and red chip shares, and overseas listing of domestic equities for more than 100 companies, garnering recommendations from many well-known legal rating agencies including Chambers, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific list and ALB for many years.
