On February 20, 2025, ALB China announced the “ALB China Top 15 Overseas Investment Lawyers” list, and Jihong Wang, senior counsel of Zhong Lun, was among the honorees.
Ms. Wang has been deeply involved in the fields of energy and natural resources, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, construction projects, and infrastructure for over two decades. She is adept at providing full-cycle legal services for large-scale cross-border projects both domestically and internationally. With her flexible and pragmatic legal solutions and unique insights into the industry, she has earned the enduring trust of clients from both China and abroad.
Ms. Wang has led several landmark overseas projects, including the China-Laos Railway, a major strategic cooperation project under the “Belt and Road” initiative decided and promoted by the leaders of both countries; the Argentinian nuclear power plant project, which involves the export of nuclear power technology over which China holds independent intellectual property rights; the acquisition of the world-renowned mining company Rio Tinto’s model mine - the Rossing Uranium Mine in Namibia; and the hydrogen internal combustion engine joint venture project, the first hydrogen energy application project introducing leading German technology. Championing the approach of “professional assistance with risk forecasting”, she has continuously helped Chinese enterprises safely and efficiently tackle cross-border legal challenges and achieve global strategic expansion.
Ms. Wang is also active on the international stage. She has been keenly involved in various international platforms such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA). She engages in discussions on energy, carbon reduction, climate change, circular economy, and sustainable development, and is committed to helping Chinese enterprises go global, integrate into the world, and foster robust exchanges and cooperation with the global business community.
