Partner Wilson Huo Addresses Social Innovation Forum 2010 in Shanghai
The Social Innovation Forum 2010 was successfully held in Shanghai on September 15, 2010. As a significant part of the Social Innovation Carnival, the forum is sponsored by China Social Entrepreneur Foundation (YouChange) and Non-Profit Incubator (NPI), co-sponsored by International Poverty Reduction Center of China (IPRCC) and British Council in China, and supported by Grameen Foundation from the U.S. and Fosun Group from Shanghai. Themed on cross-sector, cooperation and innovation, the forum has gathered more than 500 NGO representatives, entrepreneurs, government officials, and scholars to conduct in-depth dialogue and discussions on new philanthropy and social innovation.
Mr. Wilson Wei Huo, a partner from Zhong Lun Law Firm’s Beijing office, attended the forum and delivered a speech as a special guest. In his speech, Mr. Huo introduced the Trust Law of China, trust mechanism of China and current development of charitable trust in China. He emphasized the role of trust arrangement on financing micro-finance institutions for reducing poverty and promoting economic development in rural areas of China. Mr. Huo’s speech highlighted the passion of Zhong Lun attorneys to contribute to the development of Chinese rural areas and was warmly welcomed by the audience.
