Partner Peter Ni from Zhong Lun Law Firm Shanghai Office was invited to attend China Offshore Summit 2011 (held in Shanghai on October 26 and 27) and STEP Asia Conference 2011 (held in Singapore on November 1 and 2) and spoke to almost 1,000 attendees on “Outbound Investment - Tax Planning and Risk Management" and “Using Offshore Trust for Private Wealth Management" respectively.
Outbound investments by Chinese companies and individuals have become a very hot topic and many countries are anxiously attracting such investments given the current state of the global economy. Peter particularly talked about how to manage tax risks during such investments and his speeches were well received.
