On November 15, 2011, Zhong Lun Law Firm Shanghai Office co-hosted the Zhong Lun / Covington Anti-Corruption Event with Covington & Burling LLP. The agenda of this conference focused on: implications of FCPA on MNCs, enforcement of new UK Bribery Act, and discussion and commentary on China’s anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws.
Ms. Helen Haixiao Zhang, a partner of Zhong Lun, delivered a highly valued keynote speech on Legal Implications of the PRC Commercial Bribery Law with regard to the cutting edge P.R.C commercial bribery laws and case precedents. The conference attendants consisted of the Deputy Chair of the global litigation practice of Covington & Burling LLP, Stephen P. Anthony, the former Head of Anti-Corruption and Head of Proceeds of Crime at the UK Serious Fraud Office, Robert Amaee, and heads/in-house counsel from UBS, PEPSICO, IBM, SANOFI, Smith & Nephew and others.
