Zhong Lun Holds 2012’s First Partners Meeting in Guangzhou

Zhong Lun Law Firm held its first Partners Meeting in Guangzhou on February 24 to 26, 2012. More than 140 partners from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Chengdu and London offices attended.

Managing partner Zhang Xuebing made a presentation at the meeting on behalf of the firm’s executive committee. Zhang said, the law firm has made considerable improvement in 2011 in areas of team building, team size, coordination of practices, risk control and the overhaul of offices, thanks to the joint steadfast efforts of the partners, lawyers and other supporting staff. Zhang said 2012 is a year of celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the founding of the law firm. To complement the celebrations, the law firm will further improve the appraisal mechanism of professionals and supporting staff, enhance the practice management and IT infrastructure construction, rachet up efforts in corporate culture and responsibility and strengthen IP practice.

The meeting approved:
1. the annual work report of 2011 and the work plan of 2012 of the law firm’s executive committee;
2. the financial statements of 2011 and the budget report of 2012;
3. the plan of establishing the London office;
4. the plan to transform the law firm into a special general partnership;
5. the reorganization of practicing groups for strengthening integration and improving client services.
