Mr. Jihong Chen Elected as One of First National Intellectual Property Experts
Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) of China announced a name list of the pool of the first National Intellectual Property Experts (“Pool"), and Mr. Chen Jihong, the partner and attorney at law of Zhong Lun Law Firm, has been elected to be one of six attorneys at law in the Pool in China.
The Pool was established by SIPO in order to carry out the “the National Intellectual Property Strategy". Since March 2011, SIPO has launched elections for the Pool all over China, and the name list was determined via evaluation by the election commission. Experts in the Pool are from relevant national ministries and commissions, administrative departments in the national intellectual property system, judicial and legal operation departments, colleges, universities and research institutions, enterprises and public institutions, intellectual property service institutions. SIPO will develop a pool of national intellectual property talents starting from the establishment of the Pool, and will actively provide consultation, demonstration and intelligence service on important issues in the national intellectual property development.
In recent years, the intellectual property service at Zhong Lun Law Firm has grown rapidly. The law firm recently obtained the patent license from SIPO, and its service of intellectual property group has covered all intellectual property fields. Since Mr. Chen Jihong’s election, the law firm’s presence in the field of intellectual property legal service will be undoubtedly strengthened.
