Partner Ping Gu Addresses the tenth IPR Nanhu Forum
From April 13 to April 14 2013, the tenth IPR Nanhu Forum was held in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. Ms. Ping Gu, a partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm Beijing Office, was invited to deliver a presentation in the Forum. The topic of Ms. Gu’s presentation was “Patent Liability of Website Platform", in which she took two typical patent cases of EBay and Google as examples, introduced on how U.S. courts determine liabilities of direct infringement and indirect infringement of product of website platform, and provided very valuable suggestions on how to draft patents relating to website platform. The brilliant presentation given by Ms. Gu was very well received. Speakers in Ms. Gu’s panel include legal counsels from Huawei, Tencent, Baidu and Taobao.
The IPR Nanhu Forum has a history of ten years hitherto, and it has become one of the most influential intellectual property conferences in China. The tenth IPR Nanhu Forum focused on the topic of “Intellectual Economy and Intellectual Property". Attendees of the Forum included professionals from Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, courts, universities and research institutes, hi-tech enterprises such as Tencent, Huawei, Baidu, Taobao, etc.
