A Closed-door Seminar on Revolving Securitization Structure and Capital Relief successfully held in Zhong Lun
On November 11, Zhong Lun Law Firm and Clifford Chance LLP jointly held a closed-door seminar on revolving securitization structure and capital relief in the Beijing Office of Zhong Lun. Attendants of the seminar exceeded one hundred, including professionals from over 30 foreign and domestic banks, securities companies, trust companies, financial leasing companies and other financial institutions, and from accounting firms, rating firms and the research center of CSRC. Mr. Liu, Borong, partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm, hosted the seminar. The seminar focused on two key issues regarding credit card securitisation and other types of securitization-the revolving structure and the accounting off-balance sheet.
Ms. Maggie Zhao, lawyer of the London Headquarter of Clifford Chance, and Mr. Kevin Ingram, partner of Clifford Chance and executive director & vice-chairman of AFME/ESF, shared their experience on securitization based on their practice in Europe. Experts from accounting firms shared their opinions on the accounting off-balance sheet issue regarding revolving structure, by comparing the differences between the two accounting standard systems.
Lawyers from Banking and Financial Department of Zhong Lunalso shared a case of off-balance-sheet securitization involving revolving structure and made presentations on hot topics in recent financial market innovations.
This is the second international securitization seminar Zhong Lun successfully held, following the seminar of “International Seminar for Asset-backed Notes with Special Purpose Trust" held on December 10 2012.
