Partner Zhang Baisha of Zhong Lun Was Invited to Attend the 9th Annual Asian Competition Forum
Mr. Zhang Baisha, partner of Zhong Lun, was invited to attend the 9th Annual Asian Competition Forum, held in Hong Kong from December 8th to 10th, 2013, as one of the chairs and moderators. More than 100 participants attended the Annual Forum, including officers of enforcement agencies, legal counsels of multinational companies, scholars and practitioners of well-known Chinese and foreign law firms from nearly 30 countries/regions such as Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Australia, EU, and US, etc.
Organized by ACF (Asian Competition Forum), the Annual Forum covered all the important aspects of Asian competition law. Issues such as enforcement of Anti-monopoly Law in Mainland China and Hong Kong, challenges in complying with the newly adopted Hong Kong Competition Ordinance, extraterritoriality approach for resolving regional competition conflicts among ASEAN Countries, harmonization of merger controls in ASEAN Countries, competition audits and compliance systems, impact of competition law on small and medium enterprises, and using anti-trust to increase profits were discussed in depth in the Annual Forum. The participants also forecasted where the opportunities (commercial and research) lie in the year ahead.
Mr. Zhang chaired the main theme on "Contemporary Competition Issues in China and Hong Kong" in the Forum, and won great applause from the audience.
