Partner Audry Li Speaks in the 8th Annual Asia 21 Young Leaders Summit
Asia Society successfully held the 8th Annual Asia 21 Young Leaders Summit with the theme “From Passion to Action: Asia 21 Innovating for the Future" on 6-8 Dec, 2013 in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province of China. More than 100 Asia 21 Yong Leaders from 20 countries across the Asia-Pacific attended the summit. This is the first time Asia Society hosted the Asia 21 Young Leaders summit in China, and has received the great support from the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Zhenjiang Municipal People’s Government.
As a 2006 Asia 21 Young Leader, Zhong Lun partner Audry Li was invited to the summit and delivered a conversation as keynote speaker on the topic of “Rule of Law & Practicing Law in China" chaired by Dr. Michael G. Kulma, Executive Director of Global Leadership Initiatives at the Asia Society. The discussions received great feedback from the delegates.
The Asia 21 Young Leaders Summit is an integral component of Asia 21 Yong Leaders Initiative launched by Asia Society in 2006, which is aimed to prepare tomorrow’s leaders for the challenges and responsibilities of global citizenship by bringing together delegates from across the region to generate creative, cross-sectoral approaches to leadership and problem solving; to build networks of trust across geographic boundaries; and to educate each other in the highest ideals of values-based leadership. Asia Society was founded in New York in 1956 and is the most influential non-profit and non-governmental institution in the Asia-Pacific region.
