Zhong Lun Partner Ms. Ping Gu Addresses “Forum on Intellectual Property and Overseas Right Protection for Chinese LED Lighting Industry”
On September 24, 2013, Department of Treaty and Law, Ministry of Commerce of China held “Forum on Intellectual Property and Overseas Right Protection for Chinese LED Lighting Industry" in Shanghai. Ms. Ping Gu, the partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm Beijing Office, was invited to deliver a presentation titled “Strategies on dealing with overseas intellectual property risk and U.S. Section 337 investigation" in the forum. Speakers in the forum also included officials from the Ministry of Commerce, and professors from Tsinghua University and Huazhong University of Science & Technology.
In her presentation, Ms. Gu introduced intellectual property risk existing in overseas business activities of Chinese enterprises, and situation of Chinese enterprises in U.S. Section 337 investigations in recent years, carried out deep analysis and explanation on several typical overseas intellectual property cases, and shared a lot of practical experience. The brilliant presentation given by Ms. Gu was very well received.
