Partner Wu Peng of Zhong Lun’s Beijing Office attended Workshop on Simplified Merger Review Procedure held by Anti-monopoly Bureau, MOFCOM and gave keynote speech
Workshop on Simplified Merger Review Procedure was held in Kunming, Yunnan on Oct. 24th.2013. Mr. Wu Peng, a partner of Zhong Lun’s Beijing Office, was invited to attend the workshop and give keynote speech. The workshop was held by Anti-monopoly Bureau, MOFCOM and supported by the EU-China Trade Project (Ⅱ). The participants included deputy director general Wu Zhenguo and directors of subordinate offices from anti-monopoly Bureau, MOFCOM, officers from DG Competition, EC and French Competition Authority, experts from anti-monopoly commission of State Council and Lawyers from well-known Chinese and foreign law firms. The participants had in-depth discussion on Applicable criteria for simplified procedures and the role of pre-notification consultations, Procedural rules of EU and French simplified merger procedure and Relevant issues relating to the streamlined cases under concentration review in China. Wu’s speech was entitled Analysis and Suggestions on Interim Provisions on the Standards Applicable to Simple Cases of Concentration of Undertakings.
