Partner Ping Gu Speaks at China-US Section 337 Investigation Technical Seminar (2014) hosted by the MOFCOM
On 15 April 2014, Zhong Lun partner Ping Gu was invited to speak at China-US Section 337 Investigation Technical Seminar (2014) hosted by the Trade Remedy Investigation Bureau of MOFCOM. Chief Judge Rader of U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Administrative Law Judge Essex of U.S. International Trade Commission (“ITC"), and several Chinese/U.S. lawyers also give presentations at the Seminar. Ping focused her speech on the standard essential patent (“SEP") issues, analyzed in detail the latest developments and cases on whether the ITC awarded injunctive relief to owners of F/RAND encumbered SEPs, discussed in particular the Presidential veto of ITC’s exclusion order in Apple v. Samsung, and in the end presented questions and suggestions to the ITC. Ping elaborated the SEP and the injunctive relief through plenty of cases she represented and was highly recognized by the present guests and audiences for her speech.
