Partner Ms. Jihong Wang Nominated as IPBA Energy & Natural Resources Committee Vice-Chair
Ms. Jihong Wang, a partner in the Infrastructure and Real Estate Department of Zhong Lun Law Firm, was recently nominated as Vice-Chair of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) Energy & Natural Resources Committee. IPBA is committed to the development of Asia’s legal industry, currently has over 1,400 members from 65 jurisdictions, and provides an exchange platform for commercial law attorneys in Asia-Pacific region. Ms. Wang’s term will commence at the conclusion of the IPBA 2016 Annual Event, which shall be held in Kuala Lumpur during April.
This nomination coincides with the One Belt, One Road Initiative - large Chinese energy and engineering companies as well as financial institutions are accelerating their move abroad, including actively investing in Southeast Asia. Ms. Wang’s team and other teams within Zhong Lun have advised Chinese companies abroad in various jurisdictions such as Singapore, India, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Russia, Australia, Columbia, the United States, Canada, and numerous Pacific Rim countries. Ms. Wang’s nomination serves as a professional recognition of the strength exhibited by Zhong Lun in its provision of legal services to Chinese companies going abroad.
