On March 24th, the inaugural DBS Wealth Planning Symposium - The Great Wealth Transfer was held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong. Wealth transfer and preservation are among the top concerns for Asian high-net-worth families. It is expected that the coming eight years will see US$18.3 trillion of wealth transferred to younger generations. The raging COVID-19 pandemic has induced a sense of urgency regarding legacy planning among ultra-high-net-worth families. Under such circumstances, the theme of this symposium has never been more relevant.
Mr. Hengka Ji, Partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm, was invited to deliver two keynote speeches on “Wealth Planning and Tax Considerations for Chinese UHNWIs and the Latest Trends" at the breakout sessions.
