Zhong Lun Partner Liqiong Wang Spoke on New Regulations on Overseas Offerings and Listings of Chinese Companies
On April 18, 2023, Ms. Liqiong Wang, a partner from Zhong Lun Law Firm, was invited to speak at WongPartnership’s panel session about newly released regulations on overseas offerings and listings of Chinese companies. The session was presided over by Ms. Hong Chiang Chong, a WongPartnership partner.
On February 17, 2023, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) rolled out the Trial Administrative Measures of Overseas Securities Offering and Listing by Domestic Companies along with five supporting guidelines. These new regulations, effective as of March 31, 2023, mark the official start of a new “filing" era.
At this event, which was primarily open to foreign investment banks and securities companies, Ms. Wang went into details on the impact of the new regulations on the overseas listing market, key points for going public in Singapore, as well as obligations of foreign securities companies under the regulations. Ms. Wang had in-depth discussions of these topics based on actual cases with Ms. Chong. The session had drawn strong interest from the audience and was well received by all in attendance.
