Zhong Lun Advises on RMB1.2 Billion Syndicated Loan Granted to South Cement Co., Ltd.
On September 28, 2011, the syndicate, consisting of several Chinese and foreign invested banks (including Agricultural Bank of China and Crédit Agricole), and South Cement Co., Ltd. (“South Cement") have successfully entered into a facility agreement in respect of RMB1.2 billion syndicated loan project. South Cement is a core enterprise in the cement business sector of China National Building Material Company Limited, which is a Hong Kong listed company. According to the facility agreement, Agricultural Bank of China, Crédit Agricole, China CITIC Bank and Ping An Bank will provide a term loan facility up to RMB1.2 billion to South Cement. This is the first time for South Cement to successfully offer the syndicated loan through the domestic public syndication market.
