In December 2011, Warburg Pincus completed its first investment in a Shanghai-headquartered warehousing industrial property project in China, with an objective of building up a “best-in-class" Chinese warehousing services company within 3 years. After more than 12 months of intensive work and seamless cooperation among the legal counsel of the parties, this project was carried out smoothly till the recent issuance of the business license of the joint venture.
Zhong Lun Law Firm acted as the China legal counsel to Warburg Pincus in this project, and formed a team composed of Zhou Yun from Zhong Lun Shanghai Office as the supervising partner, Zhou Yang as the lead associate, Wang Yan, Zhou Zhehao and other associates. The team provided Warburg Pincus with full services including deal structuring, due diligence, documentation, negotiation, and implementation.
