Zhong Lun Wins Overwhelming Award in a DIAC Arbitration Case
Recently, a team led by Mr. Wilson Wei Huo, obtained a favorable award from the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), under which all the claims of our client are upheld.
Our client is a large Chinese steel company and the opposing party is a company incorporated in Dubai. Following a fruitless negotiation, we filed arbitration claims with DIAC after thorough preparations. We have successfully break through the barriers set by the opposing party on the ground of jurisdiction and convinced the tribunal to render award without the costly hearing process, saving huge amount of legal expenses and time for the clients.
This case is a good example of Zhong Lun’s close cooperation between different practice groups. The client has a long term cooperation with our International Trade team, led by Pu Lingchen.
