Zhong Lun Represents China’s Herbicides Export Industry to Respond to Foreign Anti-dumping Investigations
Glyphosate, one of herbicides with the largest export volume in China, has repeatedly encountered foreign anti-dumping investigations. In early February this year, the Australian government again started the anti-dumping investigation into the glyphosate agent, a highly processed product from glyphosate. The international trade team of Zhong Lun Law Firm not only served as legal counsel for one of the largest export enterprisers involved in this case, but also represented China’s whole herbicides export industry to respond to the investigation. It was the second time for Zhong Lun to represent the whole industry after Zhong Lun successfully helped the industry terminate the EU anti-dumping measures and remove the trade barriers in.
As the annual export amount of the product involved in this case exceeds USD 100 million and the anti-dumping investigation in this case is the first one against the highly processed product of glyphosate, the outcome of this case will have a major effect on the trade relief investigation of other countries against the glyphosate. It also has an important influence on China’s relevant industries and enterprises in expansion of export of highly processed products with high added value.
