In early May 2016, Steve Zhao, a partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm together with team members Xie Xin and others, assisted Puming Capital, a fund management company under Pudong Science & Technology Investment Co., Ltd. (“Pudong STI"), in completion of the privately-raised fund manager registration in the Asset Management Association of China (“AMAC"). During the service, Zhong Lun actively assisted the client to standardize internal management and to communicate with AMAC regarding issues including the investment fund practice qualifications, and Zhong Lun’s legal opinion was accepted by AMAC. Zhong Lun will go on to assist Pudong STI in the registration of its other fund management companies.
