On August 17, 2021, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and BC Partners announced an agreement to jointly acquire CeramTec from its owner BC European Capital X and co-investors.
Zhong Lun acted as PRC legal counsel for BC European Capital X in this transaction. The legal team was led by Anthony Zhao and Raphael Liu and included Roy Zheng and other associates.
CeramTec is a leading global MedTech platform and provider of high-performance ceramics for medical implants and bespoke industrial solutions, with 21 production sites and over 3,500 employees across 11 countries.
