Zhong Lun Advises Semk Holdings on its IPO on the Main Board of SEHK
On January 17, 2022, Semk Holdings International Limited (“Semk Holdings", stock code: 2250.HK) launched its initial public offering and went public on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
Zhong Lun acted as legal counsel for Semk Holdings in the IPO and provided full-process and multi-dimensional legal services, garnering high recognition and appreciation from the client and other parties involved. The team was led by partners Lifeng Ren and Xiuwei Wang and included non-equity partner Lina Shuai, associate Jiaxin Wu, etc.
Semk Holdings is the second largest domestic character IP company and ranked fifth among all character IP companies in China, in terms of character licensing revenue in 2020, according to the Frost & Sullivan Report. B.Duck, an iconic IP character of Semk Holdings, has received a number of awards, including the “Asian Property of the Year" for 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020 and the “China Property of the Year" for 2021 by Licensing International and the “Hong Kong Premier Brand" in 2016 by The Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Brand Development Council.
