Xiangwen LIU

Mr. Xiangwen Liu is the head of the Department of Regulatory Compliance and a senior partner at Zhong Lun Law Firm. His practice mainly focuses on litigation and arbitration as well as regulatory compliance. Before joining Zhong Lun, Mr. Liu held a position at the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the PRC. Currently, he is member of the International Law Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Justice of the PRC.

Mr. Liu is highly skilled in resolving complex commercial disputes and providing integrated legal services that span civil, administrative, and criminal issues across multiple jurisdictions. His extensive experience includes handling many cross-border and domestic high-profile cases, including Danone v. Wahaha and Baoneng v. Wanke. With a strong track record in representing clients before courts and international arbitration tribunals across multiple jurisdictions, he has been recognized as a top dispute resolution expert in Asia-Pacific and one of China's top 15 litigators.

In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Liu's practice also covers a broad spectrum of regulatory compliance matters, including development of comprehensive corporate compliance systems, economic sanctions, multilateral financial institution sanctions, anti-commercial bribery, and compliance investigations, earning him high recommendations and wide recognition from international rating agencies.
