Ms. Binbin Sun has been proactively engaged in the field of dispute resolution for years, with a focus on practices relating to litigation and arbitration, bankruptcy liquidation and reorganization, commercial crimes and criminal compliance. She has represented clients in hundreds of civil and commercial litigation and arbitration cases in courts at all levels including the Supreme People's Court and before many arbitration institutions. Cases that Ms. Sun had won carried significant weight as they made breakthroughs in the fields of corporate governance, finance and intellectual property, and served as comprehensive models for safeguarding the interests of clients that were at a disadvantage in the cases. With years of practices in resolving economic disputes, Ms. Sun also has rich defense experience and expertise in criminal compliance involving crimes in the commercial and economic fields. Represented a securities company in a dispute over stock pledge repurchase involving CNY 1 billion
Represented Shanghai State-owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. to verify, purchase and dispose of non-performing financial assets of a bank, involving hundreds of millions yuan
Represented a Hong Kong listed company and its actual controller in securities misrepresentation disputes and contract disputes involving hundreds of millions yuan
Represented a real estate enterprise in a fund contract arbitration involving CNY 220 million
Represented a state-owned enterprise in an investment dispute arising from historical restructuring, involving assets worth hundreds of millions yuan
Represented a local bank in a major trust contract dispute involving CNY 120 million
Handled share repurchase disputes on behalf of a real estate enterprise, involving CNY 100 million
Represented a group company in lease agreement disputes, involving enforcement and eviction of tens of thousands square meters
Advised Shanghai Consumer Rights and Interests Protection Committee and various consumers on an unprecedented consumer class action in Shanghai
Represented top-tier celebrities in disputes over reputation rights or portrait rights and obtained significant compensation
Represented Hong Kong Television Broadcasting Corporation (TVB) in intellectual property disputes, one of which is recognized as the first online IP red flag infringement case and has been incorporated into course materials as a reference case by the legal academe
Appeared for the accused at a trial on charge of illegal engagement in futures transactions, and successfully secured exemption from penalty. The case is selected by Shanghai High People’s Court as one of the representative cases in the financial sector
