Bin ZHAO
Before joining Zhong Lun Law Firm, Bin had over 20 years of experience in serving as general counsel in the China branches of several multi-national high-tech companies after he had worked for years as a practicing lawyer in a couple of international law firms.
Bin's major practice areas include anti-trust and competition (managed large MNCs’ respondence to the governments' anti-trust investigations in Asia/EU/US, and their filings for clearance with PRC government on cross-border M&As); corporate law (managed large MNCs’ general legal affairs); compliance management (built up compliance and risk control systems for large MNCs, covering information/data security, export control and sanctions, integrity and anti-corruption, IP protection, etc.); investment and M&A (managed large MNCs' set up of entities, capital/equity financing, government approval, and liquidation and bankruptcy); and portfolio licensing of standard essential patent.

Anti-trust and Competition
Represented large MNCs in dealing with anti-trust investigations by the governments of China, US, EU, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan Region
Represented an MNC in applying for anti-trust clearance with the Chinese government on a renowned cross-border M&A project
Direct Investment and M&A
Managed MNCs’ acquisition of local companies and set up of JVs, R&D centers and innovation firms by means of direct investment, equity transfer, etc.
Corporate Legal Affairs
Managed legal & GA of large MNCs, including business negotiations, contract governance, labor disputes, compliance audits, etc.
Compliance Administration
Set up compliance governance systems for large MNCs, covering export control and sanctions, integrity and anti-corruption, IP protection, information and data security, etc.
