Jihong Wang, a partner from Zhong Lun Law Firm, was recommended on the "2022 ALB China Top 15 Female Lawyers" list released by Asian Legal Business on October 20, 2022.
Jihong Wang has focused her practices in construction and real estate, infrastructure, energy and natural resources, and ecological environment protection for more than 20 years, providing legal services for infrastructure projects in more than 20 countries across five continents invested in by Chinese and foreign clients. Ms. Wang has been keenly involved in many landmark cases and infrastructure projects at home and abroad, including the new CCTV site, the National Stadium, the China Laos Railway, etc. As one client commented, "Ms. Jihong Wang is our go-to lawyer. In recent years, Ms. Wang has dedicated herself to practices in energy and natural resources. She is the vice chairman of China Chamber of International Commerce Environment and Energy Committee and the co-chairman of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee of the Pacific Rim Bar Association (IPBA). She has conducted in-depth research on and practiced in the sectors of photovoltaic, wind power, nuclear power, hydrogen energy, hydropower, pumped storage, geothermal, biomass power generation and thermal power, among others. Renowned for being adept at solving difficult and complicated problems and providing practical legal solutions, Ms. Wang has earned the recognition of Chinese and foreign clients by protecting their interests and effectively facilitating the success of each project she has worked on.
Ms. Wang is also a legal expert in ecological matters. As the legal adviser for China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment, she has participated in the argumentation, drafting and revision of many laws, regulations and policies concerning China’s ecological environment and has accumulated profound experience in ecological environment legislation, administrative law enforcement, environmental crisis response and compliance, ecological governance, environmental restoration and compensation.
