On December 23, 2024, Asian Legal Business (ALB) announced the list of “2024 ALB China Top 15 IP Lawyers”, and Peng Zhang, a senior counsel of Zhong Lun, took spot on the list.
Mr. Zhang has been deeply engaged in the field of intellectual property for 20 years, and his expertise covers resolution of various intellectual property disputes concerning patents, copyrights, trade secrets, and trademarks, among other issues, as well as intellectual property compliance, and intellectual property transactions. Meanwhile, he is proficient in legal services for matters relating to antitrust and competition law disputes, and WTO international trade. With experience accumulated through an exchange program in a US law firm and serving as one of the first batch of experts at the national level to offer guidance on dealing with overseas intellectual property disputes, he has conducted in-depth research on cross-border intellectual property litigation and technology transactions. With profound legal knowledge and an international perspective, Mr. Zhang has counselled a wide range of clients, across multiple cutting-edge technology industries, such as telecommunications and Internet, information and intelligent technology, energy and power, as well as software and artificial intelligence.
Mr. Zhang has accumulated rich practical experience in intellectual property transactions and intellectual property strategies and management for companies. He has undertaken many influential technology transactions and assisted companies with developing intellectual property strategies and portfolio planning. Mr. Zhang has successfully handled hundreds of patent infringement lawsuits, patent invalidation requests, trade secret lawsuits, copyright lawsuits related to technology, and antitrust disputes, including dozens of cases heard before the Supreme People’s Court, with multiple cases selected into “Top 100 Guiding Cases of the Fifth Anniversary of the Establishment of the Intellectual Property Court of the Supreme People’s Court”, “Top 10 Guiding Cases of Competition and Monopoly of Beijing Intellectual Property Court”, and “Top 10 Guiding Cases of Trade Secret Infringement of Beijing Intellectual Property Court”.
