Zhong Lun Lawyers Address Antitrust Matters at PBP’s In-House Congress Beijing 2010
On March 25, 2010, well-known Hong Kong-based Pacific Business Press hosted the In-House Congress Beijing 2010 in Beijing.
Zhong Law Law Firm’s partners Wu Peng, John Jiang, Xue Yi and Michael Zhengping Gu jointly delivered a speech on China’s antitrust laws and practices at the congress. The speech was chaired by John Jiang who also briefed developments in China’s antitrust legislation and practices. Later, Wu Peng elaborated on the landmark Sanyo-Panasonic merger in 2009 in which Zhong Lun advised both parties on report of concentration of undertakings to the Ministry of Commerce. Xue Yi discussed several cases and shared his insight on the latest developments of legal theories and practices in abuse of dominant market positions in China. Michael Zhengping Gu later made an in-depth analysis of possible horizontal monopoly agreements in daily operations of companies. The speech fully demonstrated Zhong Lun’s rich experience and professionalism in the emerging antitrust practice area in the PRC. Nearly 100 participants, including senior in-house counsel and management from domestic and foreign companies, attended the speech.
