Zhong Lun Law Firm Holds 2015 Closed-Door Seminar on European Real Estate Investment
On 29 January 2015, the 2015 Closed-Door Seminar on European Real Estate Investment was hosted by Zhong Lun Law Firm at the firm’s Shanghai office in conjunction with British real estate investment and asset management firm Charles Allan Associates. Mr. Zhou Yun, the partner at Zhong Lun, presided over the seminar and gave a lecture on structuring and tax planning for the outbound investment. Mr. Allen Knapp, a partner at Charles Allen, introduced opportunities for, procedures for, and cases of investment in the European real estate market. Carl Cheng, Zhong Lun’s Senior International Counsel, introduced case studies on Japan’s real estate investments and the lessons learned therefrom as well as comparing them to China’s current outbound real estate investments. Zhou Yang, a non-equity partner at Zhong Lun, analyzed legal issues and financing arrangements when making outbound investments in real estate.
