Mr. Zhang Baisha, Partner of Zhong Lun, Invited to Attend Intellectual Property Campaign Held by State Intellectual Property Office
On July 31, 2015, Mr. Zhang Baisha, partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm, was invited by the State Intellectual Property Office to attend the 2015 Campaign of Introduction and Promotion Intellectual Property Rights in Guangdong and delivered a lecture entitled “Innovation and Restriction: Anti-monopoly Regulations on Abuse of IPR". More than 150 people attended the event, including government officials from State Intellectual Property Office, intellectual property institutes of Guangdong Province and its subordinate municipal institutes, representatives from provincial enterprises and leading enterprises, intellectual property experts and scholars.
In this event, Mr. Zhang acquainted the attendees with regulations concerning elimination and restriction of competition by abuses of IPR. Mr. Zhang explained regulations regarding horizontal and vertical anti-monopoly agreements related to IPRs, common IPR abuses such as restrictive practices in patent pool or standard-setting process. Furthermore, Mr. Zhang elaborated on the factors in competition analysis, providing compliance guidelines to enterprises for their IPR-related business.
