Zhong Lun Advises China Maanshan Iron & Steel Company Ltd. on Public Bond Issuance in China

On August 29, 2011, Maanshan Iron & Steel Company Ltd. issued a public bond in an aggregate principal amount of RMB 5,500,000,000 in China (including three-year bond and five-year bond), with the three-year bond rate being 5.63% and the five-year bond rate being 5.74%.

Zhong Lun Law Firm acted as legal counsel for the company in the issuance of the bond. Professionals involved included partners Anthony Qiao, Michael Gu, Michael Chen, and associates Alex Li, Shirley Xiang and Sabrina Zou. CITIC Securities Co., Ltd served as the main underwriter for the issuance of the bond.

Maanshan Iron & Steel Company Ltd. was incorporated in Anhui Province on September 1, 1993 and has been listed on the HKSE and the SSE since 1993 and 1994 respectively. The company was one of the first nine A+H companies listed on the HKSE.
