Zhong Lun Advises KKR on Investment Cooperation with Sino-Ocean Land Holdings Ltd.
Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) entered into an investment cooperative agreement on September 5, 2011 with the well-known PRC real estate developer Sino-Ocean Land Holdings Ltd. in relation to the establishment of an offshore investment platform to seek the expanding opportunities to participate in the PRC real estate industry via this platform. Each party agrees to invest 71 million US Dollars into the platform for purpose of investment of the middle level residential property projects located in those expanding cities of PRC.
Zhong Lun Shanghai Office Real Estate & Financing Group Partners Anthony Qiao and John Sheng and the Hong Kong Office Partners Roger Ho and Henry Lau led the team including senior associates Eric Chen, David Chen, Paul Yang and Carol Cao acted for KKR as PRC and HK counsels in this deal.
