Zhonglun Advises GCT for Holding the First Shanghai Longines Global Champions Tour Event
The first Shanghai Longines Global Champions Tour Event (“LGCT") was successfully held from the 6th-8th June 2014 in Shanghai in the Expo Park. This is one of the fourteen events of the whole season of the 2014 LGCT events, being the world’s premier five-star show jumping event (CSI 5*) recognized by International Equestrian Federation.
The event was jointly organized by Global Champions Tour B.V. (“GCT", a leading European equestrian company) and Shanghai Juss Event Management Co., Ltd (“Juss", a reputable Chinese sport event organizer). It marks the most prestigious and highest-level show jumping event with the highest amount of prize of its kind ever held in Mainland China. This is also recognized as the most influential and spectacular shows in China. More than forty world’s top riders from different parts of the world (including champions of Olympic Games and European Championship) with eighty European horses competed for a total prize worth 1.25 million Euros. In order to allow the horses to return to Europe after competing in Shanghai, the European Union has amended laws to give special approval in relation to the quarantine and the Shanghai government has also built a sophisticated system to create an equine disease-free zone to satisfy the rigorous requirements.
