Zhong Lun advised Everdisplay Optronics’ IPO on SSE STAR Market

On May 28, 2021, Everdisplay Optronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (“EDO", 688538.SH) successfully listed on SSE STAR Market, becoming the first State-owned enterprise to be listed on STAR Market among the list of “A Special Action to Deepen Market-Oriented Reform and Enhance Independent Innovation Capability of 100 Science and Technology Enterprises" selected by the Leading Group of State-owned Enterprise Reform of the State Council. The IPO offering size is approximately 2.68 billion shares (raising a total of RMB7.1 billion) prior to the exercise of the over-allotment option, and will be approximately 3.08 billion shares (raising a total of RMB 8.17 billion) assuming full exercise of the over-allotment option.

Zhong Lun, acted as EDO’ legal advisor in this offering, provided comprehensive and multi-dimensional legal services in this deal and won high recognition and praise from clients and other parties. The Zhong Lun team was led by Anthony Zhao and Kong Wei, and included principal responsible partners Chen Yuan and John Shen, and team members Ding Hongting, Jason Zhan, Jorah Zhou, etc.

As one of the key semiconductor enterprises under the control of Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, EDO is a well-known domestic manufacturer of AMOLED semiconductor display panels, focusing on research, production and sales of small and medium sized AMOLED semiconductor display panels, and being the first domestic manufacturer to achieve mass production of AMOLED in this industry.
