Partner Chen Jihong Lectures on IP Matters for People’s Bank of China Credit Reference Center
Zhong Lun Law Firm partner Chen Jihong and associate Yang Weihua held lectures on intellectual property (IP) matters for People’s Bank of China Credit Reference Center in Beijing, on June 11, 2010. Heads of all departments of the center’s Beijing office attended and lectures were also broadcast live in the center’s Shanghai office.
The lectures were chaired by Mr. Chen who elaborated on establishment of a framework for intellectual property protection system. Later associate Yang Weihua gave an introduction of China’s IP legal system. During the lectures, Mr. Chen and Ms. Yang also discussed with participants principles of patent legislation, protection methodology for systems and software protection, non-competition and trade secrets, pledge of IP rights. The lectures were highly praised by leaders of the center.
The center is a public institution affiliated to the People’s Bank of China and is responsible for the construction, operation and management of individuals´ and enterprises´ credit reference system, establishment of technology standards and norms for credit reference business, collection of credit information on individuals and enterprises, development of value-added products relating to credit information and credit information services.
